The Stonewall Committee is a non-partisan educational and advocacy organization that works to promote understanding, equality and respect for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in Central New York through educating the public, increasing political participation, lobbying and working with elected officials at the local, state and federal levels of government, and working with diverse groups and coalitions.

We are a sponsor the LGBT Booth at the New York State Fair, co-ordinate the annual Flag Raising at City Hall in the City of Syracuse, present educational videos, host Town Hall Meetings, issue action alerts on legislative issues, publish the  Community Directory, make presentations on legislative issues, attend the Pride Festival in Syracuse, and maintain this website with periodic Updates with information for our community and our allies.
We lobby in support of GENDA (Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act), Marriage Equality and other legislative issues of concern to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.  We provide educational materials on the newly enacted the Dignity For All Students Act

We are the oldest LGBT community organization in Central New York.
