The Stonewall Committee hosts the LGBT Booth at the New York State Fair each year.  Here are photos of some of our 2010 volunteers!  

Our largest project at the LGBT Booth is collecting petitions in support of Marriage Equality and GENDA (Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act). The petitions will be sent to New York State senators and the Senate Majority Leader, demonstrating the wide spread support for Marriage Equality and GENDA across the State.

Dignity for All Students was finally passsed by the New York State Senate in June 2010, and we have information on the new law for parents and school personnel. 

 

The 2010 New York State Fair will be our 10th year at the Fair.  The dates for the 2010 Fair are Thursday August 26 to Monday September 6. If you are interested in helping support this effort, please contact us at lgbtfair@twcny.rr.com

 

Visit our Booth to pick up educational material, get stickers to convey your support of equality, fun stickers, become involved in the political process by signing petitions in support of marriage equality and GENDA, and meet allies and members of the LGBT community!
